Fast measurement of O2 concentration with EC-cell

The MAT1100 is the right choice whenever you only need to be concerned with the oxygen concentration or whenever only nitrogen is used. Its electrochemical oxygen cell (EC) measures within the range of 0.5 and 35 volume per cent and with an accuracy of ±0.2 volume per cent. Unlike our other models, the MAT1100 requires very little time to heat up and can therefore be quickly used for occasional measurement or in case of frequent “changes of location”.

Application:

The gas analyzers MAT1100 are the ideal solution for the food, electronics, pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry. The measuring range of the electrochemical oxygen cell of 0.5 to 35 vol .-% O2 makes them particularly interesting for products such as fresh fruit, raw low-fat fish or crustaceans, which are not packaged under an oxygen-free or oxygen-rich protective atmosphere. Since this measuring cell is quickly ready for use after switching on, it is recommended for sporadic random checks or if only a few samples are measured every day. Unlike conventional alkaline cells, it uses an acidic electrolyte (formic acid), which is why its cross-sensitivity toward acidic gas components such as carbon dioxide is low and a measured value correction as a function of the CO2 concentration is not required. A typical application is the control of oxygen concentrations in the following products:
