Megazyme D-Glucose HK Assay Kit, 110 assays
The D-Glucose HK (Regular) test kit is a high purity reagent for the measurement and analysis of D-glucose in plant and food products. Can be used in combination with other Megazyme’s products that require glucose determination.

UV-method for the determination of D-Glucose in foodstuffs,

Principle:
(hexokinase)
(1) D-Glucose + ATP → G-6-P + ADP
(glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase)
(2) G-6-P + NADP+ → gluconate-6-phosphate + NADPH + H+
* The number of manual tests per kit can be doubled if all volumes are halved.
